Living the life.

I'm in love with canning jars, I think they make anything look so fun and classtastic. Only problem is I have nothing to put in these jars....working on it.
Hello new plants, how you doing? Grow well little pals grow well. (On sale at Target holla)
My Arts and Crafts project of the day was stringing together sparkly pompoms I found in the $1 section at Target. Makes the place look like its ready for a party! I strung it up over the fireplace and the bed.

Farmers Market

Made it out to the Dupont Circle Farmers Market this morning. All the fruit and vegetables smelled so amazing, it was torture not being able to snatch up all the samples of beautiful plums and peaches.

Lazy Hazy Saturday

Yesterday I visited the Smithsonian Museum of American Art/National Portrait Gallery (they share a building...let me just say the American Art Museum is way more interesting in this bloggers humble opinion). It was a fabboo way to spend a day (in air conditioning!) Whenever I visit an art museum it makes me realize that literally anything can be considered art. It's easy to be judgeyMcJudgerson about any drawings or paintings I make, but museums make you realize there is a lot of weird looking stuff in the world that people actually really dig. One man's trash really is anther's treasure! I would also like to note that I'm not president of the modern art fan club. One installation featured a man on a television just looking into a camera and rubbing his checks repeatedly. Moisturizing is art now? To each their own.

I actually like this simple painting on canvas, it says I'm fun and practical. Also I may have just ran out of primary colors.
I bet this homegirl never had trouble hailing a taxi.

Hot Hot Heat

It was just too damn hot to venture outside today, so I've had an incredibly lazy day of doodling and lounging in my air conditioned apartment.

Coming at you live from Starbucks

Today is one of those days which should require full nudity. I am sitting outside of a Starbucks melting away; literally patting self down with a napkin every 2 1/2 seconds. I'm wearing the thinnest tank top in my artillery and it may as well be pleather with the drops of sweat I'm rocking. Here are photos of me operating outside of Starbucks, I've included an action shot of me wiping the sweat of my brow because I'm fun like that.

I took a walk through my neighborhood while a plumber was looking at my rusted sink (still have another week and half to go before I can use my bathroom sink thank you very much) and I snapped some pictures. So here you have it Washington DC as seen through my sweat covered lens.

Dear Remicade (this is not a love letter)

I am female, 21 years-old, and lets face it, a little bit out of your league (sorry, I'm not sorry). You, Remicade, are a dodgy specimen, and I ain't interested in what you are peddling.

Ulcerative colitis is like having a second job, I spent all day surrounded by doctors orders trying to pin medical offices down to dates and treatments, and it is effin exhausting. I don't think anyone will ever read this other than yours truly, so let me take a minute to give future self a shut out, what up, hope your life is looking up. Please tell me we eat vegetables in the future, that would make me a happy lady.

I really don't want to start Remicade, reasons as follow. A. I'm scared shitless (please note that I am not actually scared shitless, threat of Remicade alone is not a miracle cure B. I'm scared shitless. (I just used shitless three times in one sentence, certainly this deserves some sort of journalistic award). I am putting something into my body that the effects of which are relatively unknown. This is particularly frighting as some think it is possible Remicade leads to an increased risk of cancer. Color me thrilled. The 'big C' aside Remicade also compromises your immune system, so I, a (formerly) healthy 21 year old now require the same vaccinations as your grandmother. More medication, more injections, more fun; you might spend your Saturday morning recovering from tequila benders, I'm doing it up at the Doctor's office (hollllaaaaaa).

Whatever, I'm stopping my whining.......now </done>
