Adams Morgan Day Funfair

Sunday was the Adams Morgan Day Festival here in DC! Roger and I went and fun was had by all. Here is a picture of my feet walking there. It's a totally accidentally picture but it proves I have at least one foot, juts in case there was any question.
Hello Imperial House, how is your neighbor Inferior House?
 I love these apartments.
So many places were covered in Vines! (Remind anyone else of Madeline?)
 Still viney...
 More vines....
 Baby wants in the house.
These chairs were very little, sitting in the middle of this garden made me think they were for gnomes!
No idea what this cage is for. The only logical thing I can think of is this area hosts cage matches when the sun goes down. See you there Friday night? I'll be the one in the spandex wrestling costume.
I liked this paint test on the wall. Tiffany blue is a good color no matter where you put it!
This poor tent looks like a bust, hope it got tons of visitors later on! If not I suggest free swag! I love me some free swag.
 Adams Morgan Day Wooooo!
There was a dog in here up for adoption that I really thought Roger was going to walk away with. It took tons of strength and discipline to leave without that big guy (the dog...not Roger).
Playgrounds and Porta potty. I'll take things that start with P for 100.

There were a lot of lost balloons that day. Whomp whomp.
 Adams Morgan Day: Behold, signage!
Check out the lotto truck that was there! I regret not buying a ticket very much, I feel like a moving vehicle is way luckier than your average convenience store!
I took like a million-jillion pictures so expect more to come tomorrow (now that I'm a boring grad student I have to hoard events to post about!!)
That's all folks.

Hot Date Night Out WOOOHO

Roger FINALLY got his first paycheck after working full time since June (!!!) so we celebrated with a crazzzzzyyyy night out. Aka we went out to a restaurant and had a really nice dinner. I even made him pretend to pick me up at the door, don't let his smile fool you, he was not amused by my tom foolery.
That's more like it. Aren't I a lucky lady?
We had a hard time picking out what to order. Some of us (uhmmm mainly me) are incapable of making decisions. It's a girls prerogative to change her mind durrrr.

One thing this girl knew though, is I wanted Iced Tea. And keep 'em coming!
So into these water pitchers. They are crazy heavy though!
The Nachos we had were horrible, you can tell by how quickly we scarfed them.
And the chocolate cake was downright DISGUSTING. They are lucky I didn't send it back (too bad we ate it in .009 seconds)
Unfortunately the night ended with us going the wrong way on the metro...hehehe whoops.
We were stuck at this metro station for a little while.
Here our a pre-date shots. It took a little coaxing to get the camera shy Roger involved.

And meee.....
Hope you are all having a jammin' weekend!!!!

File this one under "Well, That Was a Bust"

Roger and I left very early on a foggy Sunday morning to wage war and do battle (aka Roger was going to a Warhammer tournament) in Media, Pennsylvania.

It was so incredibly humid outside my camera lens fogged up the moment I opened a window.
But the fog finally lifted and we continued on our way. Here is me being a passenger. Hello fence.
We passed many a barn. Here is one with birds. Don't attack me kiddos, I am friend not food.
Here are some hay bales. Don't they look snug as a bug in a rug.
No shortage of corn fields either! I like this field peeking through the window. Hello, I see you there!
I am very nosy. Here is a guy walking his dog. I papped that.
More barns in classic red. Anyone ever see a yellow barn?
Driver of the day.
We got stuck behind this car. I wanted to challenge them to a street race, but I left my racing flags at home. Bummer. I didn't have my street race bikini on my either. I know, what was I thinking?
Idyllic countryside. Good morning America.
Still so far to go. Shoot.
Holla Pennsylvania! Thank you for welcoming me into your kind kingdom. Side note: I have an EzPass so I never concern myself with trivial concerns such as tollbooths. Pffttt. Did you know they cost FOUR DOLLARS? Highway robbery. (literally. heheh)
Here are my shoes on the dashboard, the only way to travel.
More of the driver, he's riding dirty.
This inspirational graffiti was very well timed. 2.5 hours into our journey Roger realized the GPS took us an incredibly ridiculous way and we still were an hour away from the place we needed to be by 11:30. It was 11:00. Shoot.
Something missing from this picture? I'll tell you what. Media, Pennsylvania.
Still not Media but I liked this giant nose.
Not Media.
Shoot, still not Media.
More tolls. Ridonkalous.
Long story short: We turned the car around after driving for three hours and never getting where we needed to go. It was a dark day for the Katie/Roger household, and if I could have teleported out of that car I would have. Unfortunately I had to sit in that dark abyss for the three hour return journey. Hey look! Me again!

Finally though we made it home. For all of you stalkers out there I have no idea who lives in this house I just like the country feel.

PS. I keep forgetting to link up to Trust Your Style, pop over and see who you find. Spoiler: It's me!
