Drugstore Shenanigans

It feels like there is a CVS on literally ever block here in the District. This leaves me a happy lady, I absolutely adore CVS. Is it the most glamorous place on earth? Hell to the no. Is it magical? Yes. You can literally buy anything there and I love it. Need a dish scrubber and some red lipstick? No problemo! Even more importantly CVS is an essential component in my plan to beat the heat and humidity (because seriously, I'm so over sweating 24/7. I'm running out of napkins to wipe my sweaty face with for cripes sake!) How does CVS become a part of the cool down plan? So glad you asked. It pretty much boils down to this: stop in every CVS you see. Simple and effective, I like it.
 Not only do they CRANK the air conditioning meaning a quick cool down, but look at all the drinks you can choose from! Magic!
 They even sell canes, interested?

 I had a lady-date with myself last night after Roger met up with some friends last night. Also invited to the party was my BFF cookie dough ice cream, which was consumed as it should be, straight out of the carton. Sadly, this means I picked out all the cookie bits and I'm left with chocolate chip ice cream. I don't regret this.

I also invited my kindle to join me a bubble bath after putting it in a zipbloc bag. Quick poll: Am I on the only friz-eak that does this?
 I had a pretty boring day to keep it honest, but here's what I saw on my walk today:







Does anyone else see a little creature when they look at this? It could be Wall-E's cousin!



 The white house is in this picture. I swear. Zoom in on your computer for proof if you are doubting me. It's like a Wheres Waldo challenge for you all.









I'm intrigued by this approach to advertising. I'm looking into buying a cheap clunker, parking it on the street somewhere and slapping my face alllllll over. I think this would be a positive investment as well as an act of community service because hello, street art! I've also just decided during certain hours my parked face-mobile would also serve as a party bus. All aboard.

    Cookie dough is my favorite. I just finished my cookie dough ice cream today. My husband left me with 2 spoonfuls and it only had one piece of cookie dough in it! I was not a happy camper.

    I have such a love/hate relationship with CVS lol. I love that they always have everything I'm looking for, but I feel like they're more expensive than Target or a supermarket. But, I keep going there, it's too convenient (no lines!) haha. And I laughed out loud at putting your kindle a ziplock, I never would have that of that! Thanks for commenting! :)

    i much prefer target over CVS but since CVS happens to be only 1.5 minutes away when driving (yes i drive there), i'm often there perusing the aisles. plus their CVS brand is not too shabby! and canes?! we don't have canes. you're so lucky!!!

    I LOVE CVS. Occasionally I will walk the 30/40 minute walk just to get to the nearest CVS to indulge in everything I don't necessarily need: magazines, lipstick, nail polish...
