So here's the thing, I've ran out of stuff to do. I've seen all the sights, been there done that, and now I spend most of my days moseying. When all else fails and I don't know what to do I take the metro to Metro Center, mostly because it has the word center in it's name. METRO CENTER, it just sounds awesome, like there are things happening on every corner, the land of milk and honey!! This is mostly false, but it does have a Forever 21 and a H&M.
The house that Lincoln died in and Ford's Theater are located near metro center. They still put on performances in Ford's Theater, but I don't think I could pay any attention if I saw a play there, I would be too busy looking for his ghost!!
Lincoln dying was probably the best thing that could ever happen to this little theater. Conspiracy? I think so.
Once I saw Lincolns hat in a museum. It was tall. The end. (true story)
Delivery entrance to Ford's Theater...sooo interesting and cool, am I right? Okay, fine, being a tour guide is not in my future.
It's under construction, no idea what they are doing to it. Maybe adding granite counter tops, it's what Lincoln would have wanted.
Conveniently located next to the house Lincoln died in, the Lincoln House Restaurant, a classy greasy spoon of a place which, if the signs are to be believed, has fantastic waffles. You be the judge.
I would like to write into my will that a waffle shop pop up wherever I kick the bucket.
More of Ford's Theater. Cool beans. Paul Revere once light that lamp (this is a lie to make this post more interesting).
I love these advertisements for the Spy Museum, if I was a real spy they would make me paranoid. Then again....maybe they are messages for real spies under the guise under museum advertisements. Code cracked.
Alright, so by the time this post goes up I will be in the hospital receive my first treatment of Remicade for my Ulcerative Colitis. I anticipate this experience will suck the big one, it can take up to six hours of sitting in the hospital hooked up to an IV (Hell, party of one, your table is ready). On the plus side my Mom is coming down to go to the hospital with me and we are going to explore Georgetown if all goes according to plan. Wish me luck xo
In case I have a horrible allergic reaction I decided to go out in a blaze of glory with a veggie burger and cheese fries from Shake Shack. It is why I will also be having some more cookie dough ice cream in a little bit. Got to cover all my bases. Excellente.
I'll be tweeting from the hospital (as long as I have cell service) so if you are a nosy camper follow me.
looks great!

ReplyDeleteOmg the Spy Museum sounds so cool! Cute outfit and great pictures by the way :)
ReplyDeleteWow, those are great pics! I don't blame you for having all the goodies before treatment. I also have an autoimmune disorder, psoriatic arthritis, it's so painful and exhausting, but I keep putting off the heavy treatments (which is methotrexate a chemo drug) because I can't picture going through with it...eventually I'll have no choice. Good luck, I hope it's helpful!!!!!!
