Earthquake: A Guest Post by Kevin Kramer

Go figures I would miss history in the making. I'm still in New Jersey and apparently the only person on the entire east coast who didn't feel the earthquake. Here is a guest post written by my brother sharing his experience with the earthquake, as felt in Washington, DC.
Kevin took this picture of Catholic University!
Today, at approximately 2:45 pm or there about, I found myself sitting in the Hannan Hall auditorium at Catholic University for a meeting on how move-in procedures will go for the incoming freshmen Thursday.  A little more than half-way through the meeting, I began to notice the projector screen begin to shake a little bit. Very soon after this I began to feel the floor shake beneath my feet.

It was enough of a rumble to keep people off balance as we evacuated the room. I could hear the earthquake occuring as we made our way outside the building, it sounded much like a train was coming in the distance. We soon moved to another building that was confirmed structurally sound.  Overall it was pretty cool actually, kinda like a Disney 4D theater minus having to pay for it.
There you have it, the east coast earthquake through the eyes of budding journalist (but actually nursing student) Kevin Kramer.

What was I doing during this exciting historical event? Getting a pedicure. A girl has to have priorities, and if the world is going to end, what a way to go (massage chair necessary)!

Here is what I wore on this 23rd of August aka Earthquake day.

Bonus picture, it's like Christmas came early, isn't it?

CYA!
