Remicade, we may be friends.

Remicade, I know I had some harsh words with you a couple weeks ago, but I am writing to apologize. Unless I wake up sick, then you are back on my shit list. Until then, see you in two weeks xoxo

Action shot of the Remicade flowing through my tiny little veins. (This is a fact, I have little veins, they are difficult to stab. Side note: Today I learned that my temperature runs a little hotter than your average citizen of the earth. In Twilight this would make me a werewolf, so I'm waiting to go through that change. I'll keep you abreast of the situation).

Left handed photographers I sing your praises. Never before had I realized the pains you suffer for your craft, my hats off to you sirs and mams. How do you do it? Life really just isn't fair, I won't take be right handed for granted again, until, you know, I get my right hand back and I forgot all about your troubles, suckers.
Welcome to cribs Georgetown Hospital edition, it's where all the magic happens for sure, I can't even tell you about the crazy times I've had here. That chair? It's seen some things...if faux-leather upholstery could talk.....
Here's my Mom's foot, exciting times in the Infusion Unit. Note the floors, they're new, this center has only be up and running for two weeks.

Pretty intense action shot, it was hard to capture such a fast moving subject but being such a great photographer I persevered.

Entertainment for the day. List of things I am thankful for:
1. Novel length September issues
2. Magazines that come out in September and are long
3. Floppy, large, glossy-paged novel-like objects that are released around September

How good would this thing look bedazzled? I'm tempted.

So happy to be here in the infusion center.

Nottttt.

And thus concludes my first experience with Remicade. All and all certainly not the worst experience in my life, just a pain too sit in a hospital for a couple of hours every few weeks. I would like to note that there was a wandering minstrel (aka volunteer violin player) making rounds in the unit.

I busted free of the hospital walls around 3:00 and was staaarrving so my Mom and I took refuge in a lovely little restaurant called Clydes. It was their 47th happy birthday, snaps for Clydes.
Demolished some taco salad, it was fantastico.

Found this flower growing up on it's lonesome on a side street in Georgetown.

 Did some shopping.

Line for Georgetown Cupcakes (the TLC show DC Cupcakes) y'all are crazy, the only reason I would stay in a line that long is to take a ride on the Oscar Mayer Weiner mobile.
Bonus shot: My Mom checking messages on the phone. Mom, you are now an internet sensation.

What I'm working today

In other news, I'm absolutely in love with this song by Ben Folds and Regina Spektor. I challenge you to listen to it without dancing, extra points if you can listen in the shower and not dance, it's the perfect song for sudsin' up.

As for the song, I really like Regina Spektor, but my absolute favourite duet of Regina is Modern Girls and Old Fashioned Men with The Strokes...
